MC6035 grade delivers substantially better fracture resistance under unstable conditions such as interrupted cutting and during medium to low speed cutting of carbon and alloy steels. The newly developed coating technology alleviates residual stress and prevents abnormal fracturing by dispersing impact forces during interrupted cutting. Additionally the fibrous TiCN layers with an increased thickness achieve a good balance between wear and fracture resistance for medium to low speed cutting.
In addition to existing MC6015 for high speed cutting and MC6025 for general purpose, the MC6000 series has been further expanded to now include MC6035 for a wide range of workpiece materials and applications.
The new MC6035 inserts complement the existing MC6015 range for high speed machining and the MC6025 series for high performance general purpose turning. A combination of all three 6000 series grades ensures a huge range of materials and applications are covered.
